Trade Journal 08/25/2010

Good morning,

We had some mixed results here at The Exchange with our trades this morning. Steffany was only able to trade the crude oil for our trading arcade, but lost 0.250 on that index. I was up 1.75 points in my second trade, and in the interest of educating, I was demonstrating how to make a second trade during the same announcement, so I executed another order--although I had serious doubts about a third movement. So to remain transparent to you all, I did not win that one, and broke even. And Jerry made 1.0 point in one trade.

Tomorrow is the weekly unemployment claims announcement, and we'll let you know how we do.

Thank you,
Don

Good Morning.

The report for Existing Home Sales came in less than expected, and the market reacted accordingly. I didn't trade, but Jerry made 1.25 points, and Steffany made 2.00 points.

Tomorrow is our weekly Trading Arcade here at the South Jordan office for those fully signed up with Market Mover Trading. There are a couple of opportunities to trade. If you plan on trading, please be here 30 minutes prior to the announcement you wish to trade.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you,
Don

Trade Journal 08/19/2010

Good Morning,

All I've got to say from today's movement is...Wow! Both announcements were pretty amazing to say the least. Each produced about 10 point drops on the e-mini's! I was in and out so quickly that it took me a couple seconds to catch up. Although you could say I skimmed just a tiny piece of the movement, I was happy with my results. And because it took me a few seconds to catch up, I was thrown off, so I just stood back to watch it play out. I made my 1.5 points in the same second. I missed the initial reaction of the second announcement of the day, and again because it was producing a bigger than expected movement, I just sat back and watched. So 1.5 points was my total.

As for the others. Jerry was initially put in a bad position (for those of you watching the announcement, you can probably understand why with that pre-announcement jump), but recovered in that same minute and ended up with our high of the day at 2.5 points. Steffany was not here for the first trade, but made 1.5 points on the later announcement.

There are no more scheduled announcements for the rest of the week, and it looks like our first trade will come next Tuesday. However, next week we have our Boot Camp classes scheduled for Monday and Tuesday. For those fully signed up with MMT, this gives you an opportunity to learn, refine, and get your questions answered about MMT strategies in a classroom setting. Our Boot Camp is held here at our South Jordan office. For more information, or to register, contact Lauren Harris at 877-747-3450 or by email at Lauren@theexchangeut.com.

Trade Journal 08/17/2010

Good Morning,

This morning's 6:30 announcements had some good news, and some bad news, so you can imagine what the market did; it had trouble picking a direction. The later announcement was very similar. With that said, we were a little let down by our performance today. Steff was down 3 points, Jerry was down 2.5 points, while I was up 0.25 points. Although it's never fun to report down days, it's our objective to keep things as transparent as possible. You've got to be honest in trading--and for that matter, anything else, too. And tomorrow's a new day.

Speaking of which...Tomorrow's only announcement is Crude Oil. For those Market Movers that are interested in attending our trading arcade, please be here no later than 8:00 AM at our South Jordan office. This should give you time to set up your computers. Let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you,
Don

Trade Journal 08/16/2010

Good Morning,

I thought I'd start out with my stats on Friday. I was in the office to trade, and I made 1.25 points. There were a few low impact trades this morning, but Jerry and I decided not to trade. Steffany made 1.25 points in her two trades. This week's announcement calendar is looking fairly light. The big days look like Tuesday and Thursday, and of course, we'll let you know how we do here at the office.

Thank you,
Don

Trade Journal 08/11/2010 & 08/12/2010

Good Morning,

I didn't get a chance to send out the stats from yesterday because I was teach Boot Camp. Jerry was not here in the morning to trade, and I opted not to trade the low impact announcement yesterday. However, Steffany did and made 1.25 points in two trades. She also trade the Crude Oil announcement for those that came to our trading arcade and made 0.150.

Today's announcement was the weekly Unemployment claims announcement. The news was worse than expected, and the market reacted accordingly. This time, Steffany was not in the office to trade. Jerry won 1 of his 2 trades, but was down 2.0 points for the day. But yeah, he's been out for the last couple weeks. I got passed by on my initial trade, tried a different strategy, but just broke even.

We've got a few events being held today here at our South Jordan Office. First, we have our second day of Boot Camp. At 10:00am, we also have our Free Introductory Seminar to learn more about Market Mover Trading. And lastly, at 10:00am, Chris Pelissie will be up here holding a trading workshop for Independent Traders and Students. So if you need some advance help, this is a perfect opportunity to attend.

That's all for now, but have a good day.

Thank you,
Don

Trade Journal 08/10/2010

Good Afternoon,

Early this afternoon, the FOMC released their Statement and Federal Funds Rate. This is THE big announcement to look forward to and today was no exception. But before the FOMC announcements, there were a few this morning. Steffany did not trade the FOMC, so her total for the day was 1.0 point just on the first announcement. After the FOMC announcement I was up 3.0 points for the day. Jerry made 3.5 points total.

Remember that tomorrow is our Free Introductory Seminar to learn more about Market Mover Trading. This event will be held at our Orem office at 10:00 am. The address is 1411 W 1250 S, Ste 300 Orem, UT, 84058. Come with questions, leave with answers.

Tomorrow is also our first day (of two) of Boot Camp at our South Jordan Office starting at 9:00 AM. This is an all day event where you learn the Market Mover Trading strategies in a classroom setting. If you would like to register, please contact Lauren Harris at 877-747-3450, or by email at Lauren@theexchangeut.com. Let us know if you have any questions.

Good Morning,

Just a quick update on this morning's Unemployment Claims announcement, Steffany was the only one here at the office to trade, but made 2 points. I've heard from a few people, and each of those individuals also did well in their trades.

As a reminder, our Free Introductory Seminars to learn more about Market Mover Trading will be held next Wednesday in Orem at 10:00 AM, and on Thursday in South Jordan at 10:00 AM. This is a great opportunity to get your questions answered about MMT. We also have our Boot Camp classes scheduled next week in our South Jordan office starting at 9:00 AM. For more information about either event, or to register, contact Lauren Harris at 877-747-3450, or by email at Lauren@theexchangeut.com. Let me know if you have any questions.

ADP Non-Farm Employment Change was released this morning with better than expected news, as was ISM Non-Manufacturing PMI. Here's the run-down of what happened today here at The Exchange: Both Steffany and I won 2 of the 3 trades we made. Her overall total was 0.75 of a point, and my overall point gain was 1.75.

For those of you interested in learning more about Market Mover Trading, we have our Free Introductory Seminars scheduled next week. Our first will be held at our Orem office on Wednesday, the 11th, and then we will also have one at our South Jordan office on Thursday, the 12th. Both will start at 10AM MST.

Good Afternoon,

I wasn't here at the office for the low impact announcement that came out at 6:30 AM MST, but I did make 1 point on the Pending Home Sales announcement later in the morning. Steffany traded both and made 2.25 points for the day.

Tomorrow is our weekly trading arcade for those Market Mover Traders that are interested. If you plan on attending, be here (10813 South River Front Parkway, South Jordan, UT 84095) thirty minutes prior to the announcement you wish to trade. Let us know if you have any questions.

Trade Journal 08/02/2010

Good Morning,
Welcome back from the weekend. I hope it was enjoyable for everyone. There were a few announcements released this morning with the highest being ISM Manufacturing PMI. There was significant movement and volume. Steffany made 2.0 points on the initial movement. I missed out on the initial movement and went with a different strategy to make my 1.5 points. Even though there's enough potential to make a profit whether the market goes up or down, I'm always gunning for the economy to react positively, and I like days like this when it does. Our next Boot Camp classes will be held next week. We will have further details later this week, but if you would like to register early, please contact Lauren Harris at 877-747-3450 or by email at lauren@theexchangeut.com. This week looks like it's full of announcement, so we'll keep you posted on how we do here at The Exchange. Let us know if you have any other questions.
Thank you,
Don

Trade Journal 07/28/2010

Good Afternoon, There were a few announcements this morning, with the latest announcement coming out at 12:00 PM MST. However, the afternoon announcements always throw us off, and we forgot this one entirely. Both Steffany and I go into this morning's Durable Goods Order announcement about at the same price, it took a little longer than what we might like, so much that I decided to call it quits, and chose to break even on that one. Steffany did stay in and got her 1 point she was after. It was just too long for me. We both traded the Crude Oil announcement as well, I made 0.100, and Steffany made 0.125 (The points are measure differently on this index, but we felt good about both of our trades. Both were by far more immediate. Jerry hasn't been available to trade this week, and he will also be out the rest of the week. I got an email today from one of our students from this week's Boot Camp. He won both his trades today, and feels like he's grasping the concepts after attending the classes. This was great! We really do like to hear from all of you out there so let us know how you're doing. It's always good to have additional support. Let us know if you have any questions.

Good Morning, Consumer Confidence was released this morning. I lost my initial trade, but was able to regain some of the loss back. Overall, I lost 0.50. Steffany made 1.50 points in one trade. Tomorrow we'll have our weekly trading arcade for those of you who would like to join us. You do have to be fully signed up with MMT to attend. Good Morning, Next week we have our Boot Camp Classes on Monday and Tuesday here at our South Jordan office. The first class begins at 9:00 AM. There's still time to register. And remember, if you have attended before, you can come back at any time you'd like. To register, contact Lauren Harris at 877-747-3450 or by email at lauren@theexchangeut.com. Now onto today's stats. I traded this morning's Unemployment Claims announcement, but lost 2 points. I missed the Existing Home Sales trade. Although not the best day for stats, I also understand that I cannot win each and every trade. It happens. It's sometimes about timing. However, I'm good at understanding the nature of trading, I learn from each loss, I know another opportunity will present itself, and I move on. Steffany had similar luck, but was able to trade both announcements and broke even for the day. Jerry was not in the office to trade. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Good Morning, There were two announcements this morning: Building Permits and Housing Starts. The results were conflicting so I chose to stay out of this one. Steffany got 1.25, and Jerry got 2.25 overall for the day. We will have our trading arcade tomorrow morning for the Crude Oil announcement. If you want to learn more about this particular trade, be sure to be here (our South Jordan office) by 8:00 AM so you can get set up to either trade or watch. Good Afternoon, It was another packed day as far as announcement coming out, but quite a contrast in our results here at the office. Jerry lost 2.5 points. I won my first trade, then lost my second so broke even for the day. But the news story of the day was Steffany. She pulled 4 point total. It was a pretty cut and dry day for her. Good job! One more day of trading is expected tomorrow to finish out the week, and then on to next weeks trades. Let us know if you have any questions.

Good Afternoon, Today is the oh-so-talked-about FOMC day, which can cause the market to move rather dramatically, and today was no exception. But before the FOMC announcements, we had some announcements earlier this morning. The New Home Sales data caused a huge movement, and I'm wondering how everyone did on that one, let us know. Good Morning, We were expecting big movement this morning with the combination of the high impact economic indicators that came out this morning, and big movement is what we got. Unemployment Claims and Philly Fed results reported worse than expected conditions, and remember you are able to make a profit whether the market goes up or down. Steffany made 2.75 points, Jerry made 3 points, and I pulled a total of 3.75 points. So a big winning day across the board. Good Afternoon, I didn't get a chance to send the stats out from yesterday, so here they are: I lost 0.75, Jerry won 1 point, and Steffany won 1.25 points. Today we had one trade. I broke even, Steffany got 1 point, and Jerry got 1.25 points. For the last week or so, I've been testing a different strategy than what I've primarily used in the past, so I'm still tuning how I get in the market, and I'm almost there. Tomorrow is the Bright Futures Success Summit. Jerry and I will be there and we'll see you there. Good Afternoon, I'm a little late in reporting stats. Steffany is on vacation, so nothing to report on her end. I lost 0.5 points for the day, but Jerry did great with 3.25 points. Tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. MDT we will hold our South Jordan Introduction Seminar at 10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300. All are welcome to attend to find out more about Market Mover Trading and The Exchange.
Finally, on The Long and Short of It, Steffany and I talk about the weekly Unemployment Claims announcement. In The Two Cents, Sydney went out to Engh Gardens, a local gardening center, to get some useful tips to make your gardens look even better. Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t40j4ZMuclU
Thank you,

Trade Journal 05/25/2010

Good Morning, I am sad to say that Steffany was the only one to trade this morning. I was running late and opened my computer just as the announcement came out and didn't have time to set everything up. I didn't want to force the trade, so I opted just to watch. Steffany did pull 1.25 points off the initial movement. Great job, Steff! Tomorrow is our Trading Arcade. All Market Mover Traders, regardless of whether you've ever attended Boot Camp, are invited to attend. If you would like to attend, the address is 10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300. We would ask that you be here by 6:00 a.m. tomorrow morning with your computers so we can get you set up with plenty of time.
Tomorrow we also have our free Introduction Seminar at our Orem office at 1411 West 1250 South, Suite 300 starting at 10:00 a.m. MDT. All are invited to attend to ask any questions about Market Mover Trading or The Exchange.
Please let us know if you have any questions,
- Don

Trade Journal 05/13/2010

We've been a little off our game this week. Jerry and I were here to trade this morning but I didn't get in. Stage fright after yesterday? Jerry did really well and got 2 points from two different trades. He's really taken to the contrarian movements and is getting really good at them. Steff and Don weren't here to trade this morning. We do have another good set tomorrow morning so hopefully I'll have my game face back on and will be ready to go.
Thanks, Amy

Trade Journal 05/12/2010

We had a couple of announcements this morning. Jerry lost .25 on the initial movement on the 6:30 announcement but he won 1.25 on the correction so an overall net of 1 point. Don, Steff and I didn't trade that announcement. However, we did trade the Crude Oil. I lost a point but Steffany did great in the Trading Arcade with the other traders. All of them won but I don't have the exact points yet since its calculated so differently.
Tomorrow we have our regularly scheduled South Jordan Introduction Seminar at 10:00 a.m. MDT at 10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300. You are welcome to attend and find out more about Market Mover Trading and The Exchange. We are excited about MMTs expansion into the European market and would be happy to answer questions about that, as well.
This week's Long and Short of It talks about Perfection - Ah, what a charade. Much better to strive for excellence and know that sometimes we're not going to win (like me today, for example). The Two Cents reflects eloquently on What Is Time?: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsxFQewjf0M

Trade Journal 05/11/2010

Good Morning. We had two low impact announcements this morning both coming out at 8:00 a.m. MDT. Jerry got a point, Don got half a point and I got a quarter of a point (Steff didn't trade since the news was conflicting). For low impact announcements that's not too bad. The rest of the week we do have more high impact announcement times and are excited to get into the meat of the trading week.
Tomorrow is our Trading Arcade. All Market Mover Traders, regardless of whether you've ever attended Boot Camp, are invited to attend. Steffany does a great job of talking about the announcements and since Wednesday is always Crude Oil she goes over that in great detail, too. That is a very different announcement then we're typically trading and sometimes you need to see it a few times to understand it. If you would like to attend the address is 10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300 and we would ask that you be here by 6:00 a.m. tomorrow morning with your computers so we can get you set up in time and no one feels rushed.
Tomorrow we also have our free Introduction Seminar at our Orem office at 1411 West 1250 South, Suite 300 starting at 10:00 a.m. MDT. All are invited to attend to ask any questions about Market Mover Trading or The Exchange. We are happy to provide answers and support for your involvement with this rapidly expanding group and method of trading.
Please let us know if you have any questions -
Until tomorrow-Amy

Trade Journal 05/07/2010

It's late in the day but WOW, what an amazing and unprecedented market we've seen since yesterday afternoon. We were a little trepidatious to trade this morning, Jerry and I, but we still did and both managed to pull two points each. The market still responded to the announcement just like it should. I made a half a point on this afternoon's 1:00 MDT announcement but am out of my depths with what is going on all around me so I was glad to get that and move out. Who knows what the closing bell will look like today? It will make for entertaining viewing, at least.
We don't have any announcements on Monday so we'll touch base again on Tuesday. Our Boot Camp classes are on Wednesday and Thursday, May 12th and 13th, of next week and we would love to have new students as well as any returning students who may need to brush up on the contrarian movements or anything else that may still be confusing. We are here to make sure you succeed as a Market Mover Trader. Please contact Lauren at lauren@theexchangeut.com with any questions about The Boot Camp or signing up.
Have a great weekend, Amy

Despite there being good movement this morning, only Don was able to trade. Steffany, Jerry and I had prior engagements and weren't able to be here on time. Don did, however, get 1 point, which is great. We have two announcement times left this week and will report those stats tomorrow.
Short but sweet today.
Thanks, Amy

Trade Journal 05/05/2010

Happy Cinco de Mayo -

We had three good announcement trades this morning and there were mixed results. Don, Steff and most of the people trading in the Arcade did lose on the first announcement. Jerry and I won but it took me a while. Jerry was in and out in just a few seconds. Steff had better luck with the 8:00 trade and the 8:30 Crude Oil announcement so she ended up breaking even. Don didn't get in again and Jerry was heading down to Orem for our Introduction Seminar at that location today and wasn't able to trade the last two sets of announcements.Tomorrow and Friday also hold opportunities for other good high impact trades.
At 10:00 a.m. MDT tomorrow we will hold our South Jordan Introduction Seminar at 10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300. All are welcome to attend to find out more about Market Mover Trading and The Exchange.
Lastly, Wednesday is always our Long and Short of It day and Steffany and Don have great advice on shoulda, coulda, woulda. Handy Hay gives you an easy but impressive Mother's Day home-made suggestion - Enjoy:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uw-uFfU6fhc

Trade Journal 05/04/2010

Good Morning. It's good to be back and emailing you again. Today there was one set of announcements at 8:00 a.m. MDT. Don got .5 on the correction, Steffany traded but didn't win. Jerry and I weren't here in time to trade but will be here really early tomorrow morning to trade the 6:15 a.m. MDT announcement which will be worth it since it's a high impact announcement.
We have our Trading Arcade tomorrow morning long before the sun rises, but again, a good set of announcements to come in and try out with our Boot Camp Instructors. You'll need to be at our South Jordan office by 5:45 a.m. at 10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300. If you would like to stay for the ISM non Manufacturing PMI at 8:00 MDT and Crude Oil at 8:30 MDT that will be fine.
We also have our Orem Introduction Seminar tomorrow at 10:00 at 1411 West 1250 South, Suite 300. This is a free class to anyone who would like to find out more about Market Mover Trading and The Exchange. It's a very informative class that gives good insight into this type of trading and why it can be so successful.
Have a good rest of your day, Amy

Trade Journal 05/03/2010

Good Morning,
We had mixed results this morning. The 6:30 low impact trade did not have much movement. I broke even and Don did not trade. We had three announcements come out at 8:00 and there were mixed results. I lost and Don decided to not get in. This week is a busy trading week we hope to have better results for you later this week.
As always this Wednesday come join us for our trading arcade. Be here30 min before the first trade of the day. This week you will need to be here by 5:45 for the 6:15 trade. We also trade the 8:00 trade and the 8:30 Crude Oil trade. I hope to see here at our South Jordan location.
Have a great day!
Thank You

Trade Journal 04/30/2010

Good Morning, We had three trades this morning, each with high expected movement. For the most part, that's what we got. I'm the only one in the office trading today and did well. I won two of the three trades, which put my overall total of the day at 1.5 points. This has been an excellent week for me, and I'm looking forward to next week starting with Monday. Of course, we'll let you know how we do.
Have a great weekend!

Amy and Jerry are out of town for the rest of week, so Don and I will be sending the stats. We had one announcement this morning. Don and I both did well. Don got .50 a point and I made 1.25. There are no more announcements today, however, there are several tomorrow so we hope to report some good stats.
We have a free Introduction Seminar today at 10:00 a.m. MDT in South Jordan at 10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300. All are invited and welcome to come to learn more about Market Mover Trading and The Exchange. Also, we will be teaching class 3 and 4 of our regular Boot Camp today starting at 9:00 a.m. if you would like to attend either of those please contact Lauren Harris at lauren@theexchangeut.com.

Trade Journal 04/28/2010

I do love the FOMC. But let's backtrack a little. We had the Crude Oil trade this morning at 8:30 MDT. Don got the equivalent of 2 points, Steff got 1 point, but the people who attended the Trading Arcade all averaged 1.5 points. It was a very good Crude Oil day. Onto the FOMC at 12:15 MDT! It didn't start out with massive movement but a few minutes into it it sure got exciting. I got 3 points, Don got 2 and Jerry got 1. Steff didn't trade. Overall, a good trading day. We hope that you all did well, too.
Tomorrow we have a free Introduction Seminar in South Jordan at 10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300 at 10:00 a.m. MDT. Chris Pelissie will be teaching that seminar and we appreciate him filling in for us. Jerry and I will be out of town the rest of this week but Steffany and Don will send out stats since the balance of the week still has several good announcement times.
Attached is May's Boot Camp schedule. Please contact Lauren to get signed up at lauren@theexchangeut.com. Remember, once you've paid you're welcome to attend Boot Camp as many times as you would like to. Several people attend the whole course in the beginning and then retake parts of it when they decide to go live just to make sure they haven't missed anything. The cost is $249 for live classes and $199 for the webinar version.
This week's Long and Short of It talks about the 6 rules of trading and why some traders do so well and others do not. Good Morning. We had our first trade of the week this morning on Consumer Confidence. I got 1.5 points, Jerry got 1 point, Steff got .75 points and Don got .5 points. This is always an unusual week because of the FOMC announcement tomorrow but there is typically great movement, just difficult to predict. I am excited about tomorrow and will keep you posted.
We have our Trading Arcade for the Crude Oil announcement. If you are a Market Mover Trader and would like to come and learn how to trade this particular announcement you are welcome to attend. Sometimes it's just helpful to be in the same room with other traders and hear how things are going for them and what strategies they prefer. If you are interested then we'll need you to be at our South Jordan location by 8:00 a.m. MDT tomorrow morning with your own computer. Our address is 10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300. We would love to see you there.
Tomorrow is also our Orem Introduction Seminar at 10:00 a.m. MDT. All are welcome to attend and learn more about Market Mover Trading and The Exchange. Our address at that location is 1411 West 1250 South, Suite 300.
Until tomorrow- Amy

Good late Friday afternoon -
We did trade this morning and pulled some good numbers from the Durable Goods and New Home Sales announcements. I'm just late in reporting. Don got 1.375 points, Jerry got 1.75 points and I got 1 point.
Next Monday there aren't any trades but we'll start again on Tuesday and then we have my favorite announcement - the FOMC on Wednesday. We will certainly stay in touch.
Have a great weekend, Amy

Good Morning. We had two announcement times this morning and both had movement. Steffany and I got 1.25 points, Don wasn't able to get in, and Jerry got the high of the day with 2 1/4 points. Yes, you heard that right, Jerry is back trading. Very exciting.
We have a free Introduction Seminar today at 10:00 a.m. MDT in South Jordan at 10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300. All are invited and welcome to come to learn more about Market Mover Trading and The Exchange. Also, we will be teaching class 3 and 4 of our regular Boot Camp next Monday, April 26th starting at 9:00 a.m. MDT. We've had requests to have these 2 classes taught on a Monday so if you are one of those individuals please feel free to contact Lauren Harris at lauren@theexchangeut.com with any questions. We will have our regularly scheduled Boot Camp starting with Class 1 and 2 on Wednesday, April 28th and class 3 and 4 on Thursday, April 29th.
We also have two more sets of announcements tomorrow at 6:30 and 8:00. I'll send out more stats then.

We got to trade today! Yahoo. Steffany conducted our Trading Arcade today on Crude Oil. It is a very different animal then our normal announcement trades and we had several people at the arcade, ready to learn. We did have mixed results but I believe most of those who traded either won completely or lost their initial trade but then won a second trade. I got the equivalent of 1.5 points and Steffany pulled a point, but it did take her a while to get out. It was really nice to meet some new traders at the arcade and hope that you will be able to attend in the future.
We have a free Introduction Seminar tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. MST in South Jordan. That address is 10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300 and all are welcome to attend and ask questions.
We also have our Weekly Long and Short of It Today. Steffany and Josh (filling in for a voice-ailing Don) go over the number one rule - Stick To Your Plan. Sometimes there's a temptation to get into trades when you're not educated on how to trade that way. Their advice is timely and valuable especially as we head into a great week next week with the 45 day FOMC announcement. My favorite! The Two Cents asks "Where's Bobbie?" with a $25 gift card up for grabs. Here you go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7K2V6knEA1s

No trades today. But I still wanted to mention that we are having our Trading Arcade in our South Jordan office tomorrow at 8:30 for the Crude Oil announcement. If you would like to trade that announcement with us then feel free to come at 8:00 to get set up. Our address is 10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300. We would love to be able to teach you more about this announcement. It's one of Steffany's favorites.
We also have our free Introduction Seminar tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. MST in our Orem office. That address is 1411 West 1250 South, Suite 300. All are invited for that, as well.
Have a great Tuesday and we'll send stats out tomorrow.
Thank you, Amy

Trade Journal 04/19/2010

I have to fess up. We were out of town this weekend and I didn't look at the Market Mover Trading calendar because I assumed we didn't have a trade this morning. I was wrong. We had an 8:00 trade that actually had some good movement. Needless to say, I didn't trade even though I was here because I wasn't prepared. But Don and Steffany did and they both pulled half a point each. This is doubly disappointing to me because there really aren't any trades tomorrow so I'll have to wait until Wednesday before my trading week begins. So word to the wise, don't assume and check the calendar even when you think you don't have to.
I will send out an email tomorrow just as a reminder of the Trading Arcade and our Wednesday Introduction Seminar in Orem but otherwise I won't have stats to report again until Wednesday morning.
I do hope you have a good rest of the day, Amy

Trade Journal 04/16/2010

Good late morning. We had our Breakfast Friday so I'm late in getting this out to you. We did have some good trades this morning but I did miss getting into the 6:30 trade, which from the looks of it, wasn't a bad thing. I did make half a point on the 7:55 trade. Don traded this morning and got a quarter of a point. His Global Futures server went down 2 minutes before the 6:30 a.m. trade so he didn't get in that one, either.
We want to thank everyone who attended yesterday's Social Forum and hope that you got some good information about Crude Oil and multiple announcement interpretation. We also had a good discussion about limiting slippage and how to overcome difficult losses. It's always nice to see you and we're already looking forward to May.
Boot Camp is on Monday and Tuesday of next week and anyone who is a full Market Mover trader is welcome to attend. The class is $249 live and $199 via webinar and both start at 9:00 a.m. MST at our South Jordan office at 10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300. You do not have to register ahead of time and are invited to attend whenever you can. Once you have signed up you are able to take the class as many times as you would like and we are always interested in your feedback on how we can improve. You do not have to take the classes all at once since they are during the day and may be difficult for you to take that much time off. We will work with your schedule as much as possible.
We hope you have a wonderful and warm weekend, Amy

Trade Journal 04/15/2010

Good Morning -
We had some great trades this morning. Steffany got 1.5 points (she also got half a point on yesterday's 12:00 Beige Book announcement and was the only one in our office who traded that), I pulled 1.25 points, and Don got a quarter point.
We do have our 10:00 free Introduction Seminar this morning at our South Jordan location at 10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300 taught by Chris Pelissie and we thank him for filling in for us. We're filming our TV commercial this morning and it's called us away from the office for a couple of hours.
Our monthly Social Forum is also today from 4:00 to 6:00 this afternoon at our South Jordan office. We'll be zoning in on the Crude Oil announcements and then doing some trade recaps of multiple announcement times because sometimes mixed news can make the market behave oddly (oddly for us, perfectly normal for the market). In any case, we feel it's valuable information to go over. This event is for all full Market Mover Traders whether you know us or not, you're all welcome. And it's very casual, very fun and you're welcome to stay for fifteen minutes or for the whole two hours, whatever works best for you.
We have two more sets of announcements tomorrow morning and we'll report on those then.
Have a sunny tax day -Amy

Trade Journal 04/14/2010

Good Morning.
We had some good announcements this morning and here are our results. Steff got the high of the day with a combined 2 3/4 points, I got 1.5 points and Don got 1/4 of a point. We had one of our largest Trading Arcades this morning and with only a couple of exceptions (one being a break even) everyone won. We still have the Beige Book announcement today at 12:00 MST and will send out those results tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow we have our 10:00 free Introduction Meeting at our South Jordan location. The address is 10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300. All are encouraged to attend.
We also have our monthly Social Forum from 4:00 to 6:00 tomorrow afternoon. This is a casual event for all full Market Mover Traders to come and talk with each other. We're going to concentrate on the Crude Oil announcements as well as general announcement interpretation - especially when there's multiple announcements coming out at the same time. We have several new recorded trades that we will be going over as examples. You're welcome to attend the entire two hours or just stop by for 15 minutes, whatever works best for your schedule. We always have good food and great people for you to meet so we would encourage you to attend this free event and become a better MMT trader.
Our weekly Long and Short of It gives you insightful advice on how to train yourself to hold to your rules and disciplines. If you've ever asked yourself "Why do I keep doing this even though I know I shouldn't!" this is a timely episode for you. Good Tuesday Morning-
Amy is out today so I will be giving you the stats for today. This morning we had 2 low impact trades at 6:30 Don and I watched the news but did not get in. The 8:00 trade was also a low impact, I was the only one that traded and I made a .50 point. The rest of the week is a busy trading week, so we hope to have more stats for you in the upcoming days.
We have two introductory seminars this week. We have one tomorrow(Wednesday) in our Orem office at 10:00 A.M. located at 1411 West 1250South, Suite 300. The first trade of the day is at 6:30 A.M please be at our south Jordan location30 min. prior so you can get fully set up before the trade. We will also trade the 8:00 trade and the Crude Oil trade at 8:30 on the Crude Oil index.
Join us for our next Social Forum this Thursday April, 15th from 4:00- 6:00 at our South Jordan office. Network with other Market Mover Traders. Good Morning. We had the Unemployment announcement this morning. Steffany made 3/4 of a point, I made 1 point and Don has been having issues with his trading software and wasn't able to execute a trade. We have one announcement tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. MST but it is considered low impact and I'm not sure I'll trade it live. If I do I'll send out an email with stats, if not we'll start again next week. In direct contrast to the light trading schedule of this week, next week promises to be chock full of some great trades.
We have an Introduction Seminar Today at 10:00 a.m. MST at our South Jordan location at 10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300. Please feel free to attend and ask questions and find out more information about Market Mover Trading and The Exchange.
Have a great day, Amy

We had the Crude Oil announcement this morning which yielded our Trading Arcade Traders a great education on how to effectively trade that specific announcement. Steffany got a point and a half and I watched because I haven't yet learned how to trade it. But I'm going to try it for the first time next Wednesday. It has beautiful movement. The contracts are more than the S&P 500 and you would definitely want to practice it before going live. It's one of the trades we always do on Wednesdays with the Trading Arcade and again, would encourage any MMT trader who is interested to attend.
Tomorrow we have our Market Mover Trading Introduction Meeting at our South Jordan office at 10:00 a.m. MST. It's located at 10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300.
Wednesdays have now become our only Long and Short of It day so you'll definitely want to watch since the information will be condensed and highly valuable. This week's episode finishes up with part II of Figure Background Perception and how just the awareness of this can make you a more effective trader. The Two Cents shows you how to make jewelry. Guys, your girls will be stunned and amazed if you can whip up earrings for them. You'll never lack for a birthday, anniversary, or Valentine's Day gift again. We had the FOMC release their minutes at noon MST today. There was good movement. We had four Boot Camp student traders who traded with Steffany and they all won. Steffany didn't trade because she was making sure everyone was set up correctly in her class. Don and I didn't trade, either.
We will NOT be having an Introduction Seminar tomorrow in Orem as we typically do. But we will return to our normal schedule next week in Orem. We will, however, still have the Introduction Seminar in South Jordan on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. MST at 10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300. All are welcome to attend and we appreciate the great attendance we've been having the past few months.
We will be having our Trading Arcade tomorrow for the 8:00 a.m. MST Crude Oil announcement in our South Jordan office. You do need to be here at 7:30 a.m. with your computer so we can help you get set up and go over the Crude Oil index, which is different than the S & P Index that we typically trade on. If you are a full Market Mover Trader you are invited to attend, regardless of whether you've taken the Boot Camp or not. This is open to everyone who is involved with MMT.
Let me know if you have any questions, otherwise have a great rest of your day.
Thanks, Amy

Trade Journal 04/05/2010

Good Morning. We hope you all had a nice holiday weekend.
There were two announcements this morning, both at 8:00 a.m. MST. I got half a point, Steff broke even and Don is down half a point. We have a pretty light week as far as trades go but we will make sure to let you know our stats on everything we do trade. Tomorrow, for instance, the only trade recommended by Market Mover Trading is the FOMC Meeting Minutes that comes out at noon MST. It's considered a medium impact so it will be worth trading for us. We will also have our Boot Camp classes in session tomorrow at noon so for those attending students that wish to trade it we will help them with that announcement.
Speaking of Boot Camp, we've had a tremendous amount of success and only had positive feedback from every student who has attended since we started in January. As I mentioned in previous emails we have our students fill out anonymous reviews and they have, without fail, all given the Boot Camp wonderful reviews. Don Downing and Steffany Hamilton are great teachers and we are genuinely here to help each student learn and master the Market Mover Trading strategies. You will not be sorry for attending this class and the $250 fee will certainly make up for itself when you go live and are a more successful trader because of it. Also, remember that once you've paid for Boot Camp you can attend it as many times as you would like to. Please contact Lauren Harris for more information and to sign up. Her phone is 801-617-8109 and her email is lauren@theexchangeut.com. I've attached an April Boot Camp calendar.
We are going to be doing The Long and Short of It only on Wednesdays only moving forward. The reason for this is so that we can give you more detailed information in a little bit longer segments. We're going for quality over quantity while still making it entertaining and informative.
Lastly, Dawn Thompson in Las Vegas is holding a Market Mover Introduction Seminar this coming Saturday, April 10th. They will be having drawings and cash prizes but you have to be present to win. If you live in Nevada or know someone who does who may be interested then please feel free to forward this information: INTRO PRESENTATION – April 10th at 1pm 8880 W Sunset Road, Suite 290 Las Vegas, Nevada 89148. You can also contact Dawn directly at dawnt888@yahoo.com with any questions.
Until tomorrow, Amy

Trade Journal 04/01/2010

Good Afternoon.
We had a few announcements this morning but with mixed results. I did trade the first announcement but stayed in for a longer period of time so I didn't trade the 8:00 because I was still in my earlier trade. Something not recommended but it does happen to me every once in a while. I did finally garner a point. Don broke even and Steffany got a quarter point. We won't be trading tomorrow because it is a holiday and the trading floors are closed. The electronic trading platforms will still be open but we figure it will be a very odd day so we're planning on staying out.
Today's Long and Short of It starts a very interesting discussion on "figure/background" and is the first of two parts on this interesting subject. The Two Cents gives you This Day In History which, of course, is April Fool's Day. Pam gives you a brief history as well as some of the most notorious April Fool's jokes ever pulled off: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whNdh6MUTVw
Thanks, Amy

Trade Journal 03/31/2010

Good Morning.
We had some good trades this morning. Here are our combined totals for the day: Don and Steffany both won big today with 4 points each, I'm up 1.75 points, Lindsey up a point, and Josh lost half a point.
We have an Introduction Seminar this morning at 10:00 a.m. MST in Orem at 1411 West 1250 South, Suite 300. We will have this same meeting in South Jordan tomorrow, again at 10:00 a.m. MST, at 10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300. You are welcome to attend either meeting and we look forward to your questions.
We had a great Trading Arcade this morning and really appreciate the traders who are willing to get up so early to be here. They come away with a renewed sense of what they're doing, simply because they converse with other MMT traders and can swap ideas, tips, thoughts, etc. We would wholly encourage you to mark it on your calendar each Wednesday morning. Our traders today walked away with some big points on their trade journals and two of them were live.
We have also had another great week of our Boot Camp. This 12 hour course is anonymously rated by the students as they complete the course. Without exception, every single student who has EVER attended has told us, again anonymously, that they would highly recommend this course and that it makes a huge difference in their understanding and success with Market Mover Trading. The course is $259 live and $199 through the webinar format and well worth the expense in gained knowledge and understanding. Please contact Lauren at 801-617-8109 or at lauren@theexchangeut.com for more information and to sign up. Remember, once you sign up you are always welcome to take the courses again and again to make sure you thoroughly understand. Also, you do not have to take all 4 courses at the same time, you can break them up over several weeks if that works better with your schedule.
Lastly, we have a great Long and Short of It with logical concepts of how and why to educate yourself ahead of time for each trade and The Two Cents gives you an entertaining dose of windy day do's and don'ts: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDcv_4PeKWk

Trade Journal 03/30/2010

Good (late) morning, early afternoon. There was an 8:00 trade this morning that was odd. Steffany, Don and Josh lost, Lindsey got half a point and I got .75 of a point. We're hoping tomorrow's announcement times will work better in our favor.
Tomorrow is our Wednesday Trading Arcade and the first announcement is at 6:15 a.m. You are welcome to come and trade with other Market Mover Traders and our staff for tomorrow morning's announcements. You do need to bring your own computer and be here at 5:45 a.m. to make sure we can get everything set up in time and ready for the news. We encourage you to attend these arcades because it will give you real life experience with other traders who are doing the same strategies and garnering the same information as you, but who might have insights or more experience which is always something of great value.
We also have our Orem Introduction Seminar tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. MST at 1411 West 1250 South, Suite 300. This class is typically under an hour and will give you good insight into Market Mover Trading and The Exchange. Please feel free to come an ask questions and learn more.
The Long and Short of It discusses the Chicago PMI announcement which is released tomorrow. The Two Cents is all about popcorn with a twist:

Trade Journal 03/29/2010

We had mixed results this morning. Don and I both lost and Lindsey and Josh made .75 of a point. Amy is not in today so she did not trade. Just a reminder that our trading arcade is every Wednesday starting with the first announcement of the day, at our South Jordan location. Make sure you are here 30 minuets early so you can get set up and get your questions answered. Come trade with the support of other market mover traders. Today's Long and Short of It talks about exercising the brain and the two cents gives you a March Madness Update. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pck8b6F46zQ
Have a Great Day.

Trade Journal 03/26/2010

Good Friday Morning. We had two announcement times this morning. I did show up late this morning so I wasn't able to trade the first set of announcements but it doesn't look like I missed too much on that one. Josh did trade that this morning and he made a quarter of a point, the rest of our trading staff is not in the office on Fridays. On the 7:55 revised U of M Sentiment and Inflation Expectations announcement we both made a half a point, and we were going opposite directions of each other.
There is a 6:30 low impact announcement on Monday but I will be out of town. I will have Steffany send out the stats from the rest of the staff as well as The Long and Short of It for that day.
We hope you have a good and safe weekend.
Thank you, Amy

Trade Journal 03/25/2010

Good Morning. We had a single announcement this morning that was mixed news - good initial unemployment and bad continuing claims. So we had mixed results on the index and not incredibly good returns. Here are our stats: Don and I broke even, Josh got half a point, Lindsey got .25 of a point, and Steffany had a .25 loss. There's always tomorrow...
Today we have a 10:00 a.m. MST free Introduction Seminar in our South Jordan office at 10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300. It will be immediately followed by a marketing class taught by Chris Pelissie for those who are interested in staying or you're welcome to come for that class by itself. We're here to help you however we can.
We had our biggest Boot Camp ever this week and appreciate all of our students who are eagerly wanting to learn trading in general and the Market Mover Trading strategies and methods in specific. We're excited to see it ever expanding.
Our Long and Short of It today gives you great advice on how to increase your speed with your trades through alternative methods. The Two Cents gives you insight into a $110,000,000,000 annual industry in the United States (yes, that many zeros is accurate): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzkX_4Mea-E

Good Morning. We had three announcement times this morning and here are our results: Lindsey got 1.75, Steff and I got 1.25, Don lost 1 (but was testing a theory) and Josh wasn't here to trade today.
Today we have a free Introduction Seminar in Orem at 10:00 a.m. MST at 1411 West 1250 South, Suite 300. The seminar is typically only 45 - 60 minutes depending on the amount of questions that are discussed at the end. We would encourage you to attend and find out more information about the Market Mover Trading program and all that it has to offer.
Attached to today's email you will also find our April 2010 Calendar which includes the Boot Camp, Trading Arcade and Social Forum schedule for next month. Our Boot Camps are going very well and we're pleased at the great response we've had to these classes. These 12 hour courses have made a big difference for a lot of traders, both beginners and experienced, and we're having people attend from Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Montana, California, and even Connecticut. Remember, it's $249 for the live Boot Camp and $199 for the webinar version. You are able to re-take these classes as many times as you need to to make sure you fully understand and absorb the information. You do not have to take the classes all at once but we do encourage you to take them in order your first time since each class builds on the previous one's information. For more information or to sign up please contact Lauren at 801-617-8109 or lauren@theexchangeut.com
Today's Long and Short of It goes over long vs. short and why short can be such a tricky initial concept. The Two Cents reveals "Where's Bobbie?":

Trade Journal 03/23/2010

Good Morning. Only one trading announcement this morning but it was a good one. Josh made 1.75 points, Don, Lindsey and I got 1 point, and Steffany pulled .75 points.
Tomorrow morning is our Wednesday Trading Arcade for all full Market Mover Traders. The first set of announcements are at 6:30 a.m. so we need all participating traders to be at our South Jordan office by 6:00 a.m. This is so that you can get set up with your computer and we can talk about the various announcements that will be coming out together. We don't ever give you advice about what to do, but the education and synergy is very helpful. We encourage all interested traders to attend. It's proved to be very helpful for other MMT traders who are having questions or just want other people to trade with.
We also have a free MMT Introduction Seminar tomorrow in Orem at 10:00 a.m. MST located at 1411 West 1250 South, Suite 300. Jerry does an excellent job of giving you all of the useful information in a short period of time and is happy to answer questions about both Market Mover Trading and The Exchange.
Lastly, The Long and Short of It today gives a great example of methodology and to simplify, simplify, simplify. The Two Cents asks "Where's Bobbie?" with the chance to win a $25 gift certificate. You do not have to be a Market Mover Trader to win, this is open to everyone: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5GK_98DON9g

3 announcements all came out at 6:30 this morning. Some good news, some bad news. It took me a while but I got .25 points, Josh got .75 points and Don lost .5 points. Steffany and Lindsey weren't here to trade today. There aren't any announcements tomorrow so this will be my last email for this week.
We do have our Social Forum this afternoon from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at our South Jordan office. The address is 10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300. You do have to be a full Market Mover Trader to attend but it is one of the best places you can come to learn more, get feedback, give suggestions, and just talk to other traders. An opportunity you really only get once a month. It's a casual atmosphere with good food and good company.
Lastly, we have an excellent Long and Short of It for you today. Don and Steffany give you a great weather forecast for the Futures Market and Nate offers valuable advice for both employer and employee on "sick days":http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMYEZLTAP6Q

Have a great rest of the week, Amy

Trade Journal 03/17/2010

Good Morning. There were announcements this morning at 6:30 - Core PPI and PPI - but there wasn't much "there" there. It hardly moved. So I did get a quarter of a point, Don got a half a point, Josh didn't get in, Steffany and Lindsey weren't here to trade. We aren't huge fans of the Crude Oil so we didn't trade that one at 8:00, either. We do have a good set of announcements tomorrow and will let you know how that goes.
Today we have a free Introduction Seminar at our Orem office at 1411 West 1250 South, Suite 300 at 10:00 a.m. MST. We will also have this same meeting tomorrow in South Jordan at 10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300 also at 10:00 a.m. MST. And don't forget our Social Forum tomorrow afternoon from 4:00 to 6:00 at our South Jordan office for all full Market Mover Traders. This is an invaluable opportunity to talk to other traders and get tips, information, eduction and food all in one fell swoop. It's casual and you're welcome to come for just a few minutes or the full two hours, whatever works best for you.
Lastly, we have our Long and Short of It today. A special episode packed with trading information, bad Irish accents and an unbelievable way to fold t-shirts. Not to be missed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9VmFNjDnjc
May the luck of the Irish be yours today, Amy

Trade Journal 03/16/2010

We wanted to send you our email today after the FOMC announcement, but unfortunately the FOMC is the highlight of The Long and Short of It so I apologize that it is after the fact as far as today. This is an announcement that happens every 45 days so it will still help you in the future and is very worth watching.
So, on to today. Weird is the word I would use. We had a 6:30 set of announcements this morning. We all did well but were very conservative. We wanted to make sure that we were wary of any odd movement because of the FOMC that was scheduled for 12:15 today and can influence other announcements throughout the week and especially on the day itself. So around 12:00 we start getting ready. We put in our brackets, discuss our plans, we had Boot Camp students here that we were helping, we tell them that the announcement is typically late because its Ben Bernanke speaking and it takes him some time to get to the meat of his speech. So we're all ready, eagerly anticipating... At 12:13 I start seeing movement on the chart but figure that's just pre-announcement movement which can happen from time to time. But I then check the news server and realize that the announcement has actually been released 2 minutes early and the movement I'm seeing IS the reaction. So I missed the initial movement. Then I start looking for a correction and never see one. Ultimately I didn't get into a trade, dangit. Which is sad for me because I love the FOMC announcement. But today was... weird. Fortunately other traders here were more prepared than me so they captured good movement. For the day, Steffany got .75 points, Don got 1.75 and Josh walks away with the biggest win of the day with 4 points. Me? I got a half a point on this morning's 6:30 set. Live and learn, live and learn.
Tomorrow we have a 10:00 a.m. MST free Introduction Seminar at Orem. The address is 1411 West 1250 South, Suite 300. We will also be doing our Wednesday Trading Arcade at 6:30 a.m. MST. You do need to be at our South Jordan office by 6:00 with your computer to participate. You also need to be a full trader with Market Mover Trading. We want you to be here 30 minutes early so we can make sure we have enough time to help you get set up with your computer and prepared for the announcement. We don't want anyone to feel rushed since these are important decisions and it takes a few minutes to understand and plan prior to the announcement release. Our South Jordan office is at 10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300.
We also want to mention that this Thursday is our monthly Social Forum in South Jordan for all Market Mover traders to come together and talk, discuss, learn, strategize, etc. This has been a popular event in the past and we look forward to seeing you again on Thursday. There is food, great conversation and the ability to learn from others who are succeeding. We also have our Boot Camp instructors here for you to be able to ask questions to. That will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. this coming Thursday, March 18th and you're welcome to come for the entire two hours or just ten minutes, whatever your schedule permits.
Lastly, The Long and Short of It. Again I apologize for the tardy release but hope it will be good future information for you. The Two Cents gives you unbelievable tips on how to use your toothpaste for almost everything BUT brushing your teeth:

Trade Journal 03/15/2010

Good Morning. There were announcements this morning but they were all low impact. I didn't trade them nor did most of the trading staff. Josh did, however, and he got .25 of a point. So not much movement this morning. However, we do have the FOMC announcement tomorrow which is one of those trades us die-hard announcement traders live for. It only happens every 45 days and it is the Mother of all announcement trades. We will see some great movement this week. MMT predicts 10 to 15 points of movement off of that announcement by itself. Incredible.
Today's Long and Short of It covers the all important stop loss and why they are so important. Pam gives us This Day in History on the Two Cents and we learn everything from blood banks to the triple lutz. Enjoy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twxK8rV014s

Good Morning. Good movement on the market today. I got a point on the first trade today and then didn't trade the other announcement times. Our other office traders are not here on Fridays. But I did hear from a few other MMT traders this morning who mostly had a great experience but one who didn't because of incredible slippage. Is this happening to a lot of you? We've had more questions about it this week than ever before and would like to hear your experiences so we can learn from them and hopefully help you, too.
We hope you have a good weekend and look forward to touching base with you next week.
Thanks, Amy

Trade Journal 03/11/2010

Today there was great movement on the 6:30 a.m. MST announcements. I got a point, Don got 2.5 points, Lindsey 2.25 points and Josh half a point. Steffany is teaching our Boot Camp this morning and I haven't had a chance to get her stats from her.
Tomorrow there are 3 announcement times which will make it the most opportune trading day of the week.
We have a free Introduction Seminar this morning at 10:00 a.m. MST at our South Jordan location at 10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300. All are invited and welcome.
Today's Long and Short of it reviews the S & P Index a year ago this week as the bottom of the bottom. Steffany and Don also talk about how the lessons from that time can influence your daily trading plan. The Two Cents talks about how to relieve stress in the workplace: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4XKvuDmVAQ

Trade Journal 03/10/2010

Good Morning. Two trades today, one low and one high. Steffany got 1.5 points, Don 3/4 of a point, I got half a point and Lindsey and Josh each 1/4 of a point. The Trading Arcade went well and we're looking forward to next Wednesday when hopefully we'll have more announcements and trading opportunities to learn from together.
Today at 10:00 a.m. MST we have a free Introduction Seminar in our Orem office at 1411 West 1250 South, Suite 300. This is a great way to learn more and get answers about what Market Mover Trading and The Exchange are all about. These trading methods have made brand new traders successful and we are excited to see all of the people who are joining and learning this new and valuable skill.
We will have another Introduction Seminar tomorrow at our South Jordan location at 10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300 at 10:00 a.m. MST followed by a Network Marketing class taught by Chris Pelissie at 11:15. You do not need to attend both meetings and are free to chose just one or both depending on your time availability.
The Long and Short of It discusses how to create planned trades with controlled risks - something we're all striving to get better at. The Two Cents is a great one that includes everything from fetching dogs to building forearm strength to home made shoe deodorizers all with old newspapers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFapb-BNI0w
Until tomorrow -Amy

Trade Journal 03/09/2010

There was a low impact trade this morning based on Economic Optimism. Josh, Steff and I got half a point, Lindsey got 3/4 of a point. We have a few trades tomorrow but don't get to the real meat of the trading week until Thursday.
We will have a free Introduction Seminar tomorrow morning at our Orem office at 10:00 a.m. MST. The address is 1411 West 1250 South, Suite 300. This is an ideal opportunity to find out more about Market Mover Trading and The Exchange and all that these programs have to offer. Please feel free to email us any questions you may have in the mean time.
Tomorrow we start our Boot Camp for the week with classes 1 and 2 on Wednesday and classes 3 and 4 on Thursday. The Boot Camp is a concentrated live course where we help you, step by step, learn about the futures market, the S & P Index, MMT strategies, Global Futures software and a variety of important aspects in between. There are definitely some tricks and tips that you'll want to be aware of and our helpful instructors, Don Downing and Steffany Hamilton, are here in person to make sure you have a thorough understanding and knowledge of the methodology. The classes are $249 for the live courses and $199 for the webinar version. To sign up please email Lauren at lauren@theexchangeut.com.
We will also have our weekly Trading Arcade tomorrow for the first morning's announcement. You do have to be a full Market Mover Trader and we also need you to bring your own computer. The first morning's trade is at 8:00 a.m. so if you wish to participate you'll need to be at our South Jordan location (10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300) by 7:30 a.m. Crude Oil is at 8:30 and we will trade that one together, too, for those who want to stay. This exercise is meant to help MMT traders have the experience of talking with other traders and to also be able to execute an actual trade with each other. We have found that a large part of our success comes from the fact that we're together each morning, trading independently but still having each other to bounce ideas and thoughts off of. We invite you to be a part of that each Wednesday and have enjoyed the last two weeks that we've done this.
Lastly, today's Long and Short of It delves further into success and asks each of you to define what success means to you individually, not through other people's eyes, but from your own idea of what's truly important to you, with no right or wrong answer. The Two Cents gives a good wrap up of Hollywood's biggest event of the year:

Good Morning. There weren't any scheduled announcements for today and this week is pretty light as a whole but we'll trade everything we can and let you know how it goes. I did trade the Consumer Credit announcement at 1:00 MST last Friday and pulled half a point.
Today's Long and Short of It discusses creating your own success and The Two Cents gives you something to dance about on a Monday Morning. Enjoy:

Trade Journal 03/05/2010

Good Morning - There were two high impact announcements that came out this morning at 6:30 MST. The news came out better than the consensus and the market reacted accordingly. I made 1.5 points in under 10 seconds which are always my favorite types of trades - to be in and out before I even realize what's happened. I was the only one who traded this morning since our trading staff is not here on Fridays. These mornings give me an understanding of what traders must feel like at home, trading by themselves and so I would encourage you to try to come to our Wednesday Trading Arcades so that you do have other people to talk with about strategies, announcement interpretations, etc all while doing live trades that morning together. I know that can be an extra early morning but I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how much you can learn and the good experience it can be. I will send out more details for next Wednesday's trade early next week.
There is a trade at 1:00 today, Consumer Credit. I do intend to trade and will let you know how it goes on Monday.
Have a safe and happy weekend, Amy

Trade Journal 03/04/2010

Good Morning. Better trading day for me but still some mixed results overall. I did win a point today because I only went after a small profit target after two losing days in a row. For me I was little gun shy and wanted to make sure that I was keeping to my guidelines and trusting the methods but not pushing my luck at all. So while I certainly left money on the table I feel better after the win and look forward to tomorrow's announcement times. Don is trying some new strategies and lost .75 points, Steff got .75 points and Josh got 1.25 points.
We have an Introduction Seminar today at 10:00 a.m. in South Jordan at 10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300. Everyone is welcome to attend who has questions or would like more information about Market Mover Trading. We will have a networking meeting directly afterwards today at approximately 11:15 a.m. Jerry Anderson will actually be teaching that class in lieu of Chris Pelissie because Chris is in London with Sean Larsgard and Jason Anderson, the owners and founders of Market Mover Trading. Everyone who has interest in the networking aspect of Market Mover Trading is invited to attend.
Lastly, we have today's Long and Short of It. Don and Lindsey do a great job of describing how to approach trading for the best results and in The Two Cents we get the NH twins introducing The Bottom Line:

Trade Journal 03/03/2010

Mixed day again for us. Don and I lost (we both won initially but then lost on the correction), Lindsey and Josh won. Steff was running the Trading Arcade and didn't trade. So for me, I know that I'm taking good notes, reviewing what I did wrong so that I won't repeat the same mistakes again. The good and bad part about this is that you really do make mistakes and you really can learn from them if you'll take the opportunity to review and keep an open mind.
Tomorrow we have a 10:00 a.m. Introduction Seminar in South Jordan at 10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300. We will also have a networking meeting afterwards starting at approximately 11:15 a.m. at the same location. That class is taught by Chris Pelissie.
I do need to mention that we have changed our main website to www.theexchangetrading.com. Please feel free to visit that website and bookmark it for journal keeping, our Boot Camp calendar and general information about The Exchange and Market Mover Trading.
The Long and Short of It's subject for the day actually has great timing for me with my losing trade this morning and the attitude that will be most beneficial in those circumstances. The Two Cents features Handy Hay - one of my favorite segments:

Good Morning. No MMT approved trades today but will have some high impact ones the rest of this week. We will be doing our Trading Arcade tomorrow for the first announcement at 6:15 which means if you wish to participate you'll need to be at our South Jordan office no later than 5:45 a.m. You do need to be a full Market Mover Trader and you do need to bring your own computer with you but we would encourage you to come and trade with us so that you can ask questions and gather more information. The address is 10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300.
Tomorrow we will also have a 10:00 a.m. Introduction Seminar at our Orem office at 1411 West 1250 South, Suite 300. Please feel free to invite anyone who may be interested in learning more about this valuable program.
Lastly, The Long and Short of It covers the ADP announcement scheduled for 6:15 a.m. MST tomorrow. This is an important announcement for many reasons and is typically an early prediction for other government released Unemployment announcements later this week. Trade Journal 03/01/2010

Not a fun day for us here. Macey, Josh and I lost 2 points. Don lost 1 point and Lindsey is still in her trade but she did win half a point from the 6:30 announcement. Steffany wasn't here today so she didn't trade. So, all in all, not a good day for us. But we know that happens in this environment and we shake our heads, write down good notes, remember this experience for the next time this announcement comes out and prepare to win again on Wednesday when we will trade the next set of announcements. We are uploading today's video on our YouTube channel so you can see Macey's trade and hopefully learn from it, too.
Again, this is why journal keeping becomes such an integral part of your trading system. We have created at online journal on our website for everyone who has taken The Boot Camp and it takes a lot of the work out of it for you since we input the prediction points, upload the announcement and have created drop down boxes to make the experience even easier for you. You can upload your chart, create your own notes, even upload your own video recording if you have one. It will keep track of your stats automatically so you don't have to do any adding, subtracting, etc. it will keep a running tally. You must be a member of The Exchange for access to this useful tool and if that's something that interests you then please contact Lauren at lauren@theexchangeut.com for more information.
The Long and Short of it discusses the CPI announcement and why it's important. The Two Cents asks "Where's Bobbie?": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kzn4XAUKXTQ

Trade Journal 02/26/2010

It was a roller coaster today... We started with a 6:30 a.m. GDP announcement. The news was mixed and it took both Macey and me over 30 minutes to finally get out of that trade with a small profit. That's not the ideal trade, by any means, but we were glad it finally went in our favor. The other announcements went much better. Macey ended up pulling 1.9375 total points and I got 3 points when all was said and done. My total profit for the day after commissions was over $700. On Fridays it's just the two of us that trade but I have heard from a few other MMT traders with mixed results. We had one lose and two win.
Next week will be another busy trading week and we look forward to sharing with you how those trades go, the good and bad. As a side note, if you do watch The Long and Short of It or subscribe to our YouTube channel then you will start seeing recordings of our live trades so you can see evidence of how we did rather than just my word for it. A few of them are up already. You can find them by going to YouTube.com and typing in TheExchangeUT.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Have a great weekend
-Amy

Trade Journal 02/25/2010

Early trades this morning with two announcements coming out at the same time. It was conflicting information but the market responded mostly to the Unemployment announcement which was bad news. All of us tried a variety of strategies and we all won. Don had the high of the day with 3 points. He played the initial and the correction which was a perfect Market Mover strategy and he executed it wonderfully. I got 1.5 points, Steffany got .75, Lindsey got half a point, Josh 1.375 points and Macey got 1 point.
We have a 10:00 a.m. Introduction Seminar today in South Jordan at 10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300 and would invite anyone who is interested in learning more details to attend. Following that, at 11:30, we will have a network class taught by Chris Pelissie.
The Long and Short of It is about accepting responsibility for your trades and effectively learning from your mistakes. The Two Cents will riddle you:

Trade Journal 02/24/2010

WOW! What a wild morning. 4 seconds after the news came out and I got into a trade my computer froze. I was in my office and thought perhaps it was just my computer so I shut the software down, restarted it (panicking all the while) and it was still frozen. After a few more panicked minutes I called Global Futures and two of there servers had gone down. You could hear mayhem in the background of the phone call so I can only imagine what was happening. I asked them to get me out manually because she couldn't tell me when the software would be working again. Just when she had told me that she had gotten me out my software started working. I ended up getting 2 full points (when I had only put in a profit target of 1.25) so it actually worked in my favor, but it was scary happening, nonetheless. In our 7 months of trading I have never seen Global Futures system freeze or go down. Ironically we had our first Trading Arcade this morning so we had several people in our office trading, too. Three of them were live and only 1 of them had an issue with a frozen dome, the other two it didn't affect. I've also received emails from several other traders who it affected so I know geographically it was hit and miss. For those of who have attended our Boot Camp you were given an emergency contact card just for this type of situation and hopefully it came in handy for you today. I don't think it happens very often but when it does it's hair raising.
On to normal stats: Steffany got 1.0625 points, Don got 2.5 points, Josh got .75 points, Lindsey got 2 and Macey got 1.25. All of our live traders that came to our trading arcade also won this morning.
Tomorrow we have an Introduction Seminar at 10:00 a.m. at our South Jordan office at 10813 S River Front Parkway, Suite 300. We will also have a network meeting right afterwards at 11:30 for those Market Mover Traders who would like to attend to learn more about that aspect. Chris Pelissie will be teaching that class.
Today's Long and Short of It talks about "luck" in trading and The Two Cents gives great advice about small steps to better health:

Trade Journal 02/22/2010

Good Morning. We didn't have any trades this morning but we have at least one high impact each day the rest of this week. Yahoo!
The Exchange Boot Camps are still going on each week and without exception, every student who has attended indicated on their rating sheet that they would recommend the Boot Camp to other Market Mover Traders. It is a great tool not just for brand new traders but even for more experienced traders who want still want to learn the finer points of announcement interpretation, strategies, etc. The Boot Camp is $249 for live classes and $195 for webinars. Please call 877-747-3450 for more information and to sign up or email Sydney@theexchangeut.com. Remember, this is the only education source outside of Market Mover Trading itself that has been approved and endorsed by Market Mover Trading.
The Long and Short of It today goes over a great book "Trading in the Zone," and The Two Cents catches you up on a very critical TV show that has been preempted by The Olympics: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0K-R6HLJ-Aw
Thanks, Amy
