Trade Journal 07/28/2010

Good Afternoon, There were a few announcements this morning, with the latest announcement coming out at 12:00 PM MST. However, the afternoon announcements always throw us off, and we forgot this one entirely. Both Steffany and I go into this morning's Durable Goods Order announcement about at the same price, it took a little longer than what we might like, so much that I decided to call it quits, and chose to break even on that one. Steffany did stay in and got her 1 point she was after. It was just too long for me. We both traded the Crude Oil announcement as well, I made 0.100, and Steffany made 0.125 (The points are measure differently on this index, but we felt good about both of our trades. Both were by far more immediate. Jerry hasn't been available to trade this week, and he will also be out the rest of the week. I got an email today from one of our students from this week's Boot Camp. He won both his trades today, and feels like he's grasping the concepts after attending the classes. This was great! We really do like to hear from all of you out there so let us know how you're doing. It's always good to have additional support. Let us know if you have any questions.

Good Morning, Consumer Confidence was released this morning. I lost my initial trade, but was able to regain some of the loss back. Overall, I lost 0.50. Steffany made 1.50 points in one trade. Tomorrow we'll have our weekly trading arcade for those of you who would like to join us. You do have to be fully signed up with MMT to attend. Good Morning, This morning we had one high impact announcement: New Home Sales. Jerry was not here for the trade, but both Steffany and I traded and both made 1 point in just one trade. Good Morning, Next week we have our Boot Camp Classes on Monday and Tuesday here at our South Jordan office. The first class begins at 9:00 AM. There's still time to register. Now onto today's stats. I traded this morning's Unemployment Claims announcement, but lost 2 points. I missed the Existing Home Sales trade. Although not the best day for stats, I also understand that I cannot win each and every trade. It happens. It's sometimes about timing. However, I'm good at understanding the nature of trading, I learn from each loss, I know another opportunity will present itself, and I move on. Steffany had similar luck, but was able to trade both announcements and broke even for the day. Jerry was not in the office to trade. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Good Morning, There were two announcements this morning: Building Permits and Housing Starts. The results were conflicting so I chose to stay out of this one. Steffany got 1.25, and Jerry got 2.25 overall for the day. We will have our trading arcade tomorrow morning for the Crude Oil announcement. Good Afternoon, It was another packed day as far as announcement coming out, but quite a contrast in our results here at the office. Jerry lost 2.5 points. I won my first trade, then lost my second so broke even for the day. But the news story of the day was Steffany. She pulled 4 point total. It was a pretty cut and dry day for her. Good job! One more day of trading is expected tomorrow to finish out the week, and then on to next weeks trades. Let us know if you have any questions.

Good Afternoon, There were a few announcements spread throughout the day today with the lasted coming out at 12:00 PM MST. We didn't all trade each announcement. Steffany only traded the early trade, I only traded the 8:00 trade, and Jerry traded both the 6:30 and 8:00 trade. So here are our totals for the day: Steffany made 0.25 of a point. I made 0.75, and Jerry made 2.75 for the day. Remember that tomorrow is our free introductory seminar for those interested in finding more information about MMT. Good Afternoon, Today there were two low impact announcements that came out. Steffany and I decided not to trade either of them, but Jerry did, and did well. He made 1.5 points overall. Good job Jerry! The rest of the week is packed full of announcements, so we'll let you know how we do. Good Afternoon, I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. This week's announcement schedule is looking a little sparse, but we will take what we can get, right? There was one announcement this morning at 8:00. I made 1.25 points and Jerry made 1.5 points--both of us did that in one trade.
